Prime Minister laid the foundation stone of Green airport in Rajkot
Rajkot. Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed a public meeting at Chhotila in Surendranagar district.
He
laid the foundation stones of Rajkot's Green Airport 6-lane
Ahmedabad-Rajkot National Highway and 4-lane Rajkot-Morbi State Highway.
He
dedicated a fully automated milk processing and packaging unit and on
the basis of Surendra Nagar, the water distribution distribution
pipelines in the city and Ratan Puran were also dedicated to the nation.
The Prime Minister said that it was very difficult to imagine having an airport in Surendranagar district. Such development work empowers citizens. He further said that air travel is not for rich individuals only. We made the air travel cheap and easy.
The Prime Minister said that the definition of development has changed. Earlier
tubewells were considered to be a symbol of development and today the
water of Narmada has been brought to the benefit of the people. Surinder Nagar district will benefit greatly from Narmada water.
He appealed to the people and said that they should use the water responsibly and preserve every drop. The Prime Minister said that people from Surasagar Dairy will benefit greatly. He recalled the works done by former Chief Minister Keshubhai Patel for making roads better and safer.
