India Will Fix 26 Million Hectares of Degraded Land by 2030

    Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that 'India from now on has the ambition to recover 21 million hectares to 26 million hectares of degraded land by 2030'.    The Environment Minister said that COP-14 has emerged as a world forum to discuss the most important environmental issues. He said, "More than 190 countries, 100 ministers and 8000 participants from all over the world have united in UNCCD COP-14 to discuss and promote land restoration and climate."
   On this occasion, Saint Vincent and the Prime Minister of Grenadines Ralph Gonzalvis, UN Secretary-General Ms. Amina Jane Mohammed, UNCCD Executive Secretary Abraham Thaiv, Environment, Forest and Climate Change Minister Prakash Javadekar, Minister of State for Environment, Forest and Climate Change Babu Supriyo and other dignitaries were present.
