Tourism Festival: Country of Unity in India Diversity

  New Delhi. Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh inaugurated the concluding ceremony of the Tourism Festival in Rajpath Lawn in New Delhi. Union Minister of Tourism (Independent Charge) J. Alfons presided over the inauguration ceremony.

 The Ministry of Tourism is jointly organizing tourism fairs between October 5, 2017 and October 25, 2017, in collaboration with several central government ministries, state governments and many stakeholders.  
  On this occasion Rajnath Singh congratulated the Tourism Ministry for organizing a grand ceremony to promote tourism. He said that India is a country of unity in diversity. He said that tourism can play an important role if we want to make India a super power.
     Singh said that we have to increase the share of tourism in our GDP. He said that India controls a large part of the world's cultural form. Since ancient times in India, there has been tradition of Dev Dev Bhav:
  We must increase awareness of our ancient traditional values. He said that the Home Ministry has taken several steps to increase tourism. E-Visa is being provided within 72 hours. More than 29 lakh tourists have so far availed this facility. Rajnath Singh said that private sector should also be included in promoting tourism. 
     K. J. Alfons said that tourism festivities have been organized to showcase the benefits of tourism and cultural diversity of the country under the principle of tourism for all. The 21-day program was organized by the Ministry of Tourism in collaboration with the Central Government Ministries, State Governments and other stakeholders.  
   He said India is a wonderful country, its dishes, music and dance arts are unique and amazing. Our ancient heritage sites are unique and musical programs have been started at these places. Under the closing ceremony of the 21-day tourism festival, a three-day program was organized in the Rajpath Garden of New Delhi (between Rafi Marg and Janpath) from 23 to 25 October 2017. 
     This program is open to ordinary citizens from 12:00 pm to 10:00 pm. Under this, cultural programs, handicrafts market, various types of catering services are available. On the first day of the closing ceremony, cultural artists from various states / union territories of the country will showcase their art. 
   Today, Gujarat has given the folk dance of Siddhi Dhamal, Haryana has been presented by Bomb Lahiri, Bihar's Phag, Madhya Pradesh's Matki Nritya, Jharkhand Chau Dancing and Kerala, and Jugalbandi of Oppana and Miragam. More than 50 food stalls have been installed in different states / UTs under the catering service.
   The National Association of Street Vendors of India (Nasavi) has stalls of various regional street food stalls. Apart from this, the Institute of Hotel Management and ITDC have also set up food stalls. In the Handicrafts Fair, the State Government and Textile Ministry has installed more than 50 stalls through Handicrafts and Handloom Commission, which has exhibited exhibition of handicrafts and handloom products from different areas of the country.
      Apart from this, there are 15 state pavilions based on theme, in which the tourism products and destinations of the states are being shown. Presentations of cultural artists from different States / Union Territories will be held from 1:00 PM to 4:30 PM on three days. Apart from this, other cultural programs will also be organized on three days at 6:00 p.m. On October 23, 2017, Begum Zakia Jahid, Syeda Hameed and Rini Singh will perform 'Dastan of old Delhi'.
    On 24th October, 2017, Prashant and Nishant Mallik (Mallik Bandhu) will perform Dhrupad singing. On October 25, 2017, Mrs. Savita Devi will present the 'East Gangs of Banaras Gharana'. Presentations will be given by North Zone Culture Center for three days.  
   A CEO Round Table Conference on the tourism sector organized by Invest India, under the specialty of the Industrial Policy and Promotion Department on 19th day. The Round Table Conference was very meaningful and the development of India's tourism infrastructure through public-private partnership, helping India make the world's preferred MICE destination, exploiting India's excellent tourism potential, ranging from game changers- start-ups and online travel aggregators Various topics were discussed in detail. 
     The involvement of various state governments, organizations, stakeholders and private entrepreneurs ensured that the desired result of this function could be achieved. Various activities such as a national seminar on sustainable tourism organized by NCERT in Delhi came in.
    The state government of Andhra Pradesh organized a cultural evening in Amravati. With the cooperation of State Government of Donor, the Donor organized several programs like Tourism and its Challenges in Culture Evening and Manipur. In Tawang, a well organized program was organized in association with Arunachal Pradesh State Government and Guided Walk Program was organized around Tawang Monastery. Ministry of Rural Development has started tourism projects in Shamlaji cluster for the development of the Meshwo river bank along with tourism infrastructure and recreational facilities.
